Hashing with Dogs

Hashing with dogs is an informal event at 4 p.m. on the first saturday of every month.  Rain or shine, the event will go on so dress accordingly.

What is hashing with dogs?

Hashing with Dogs is an informal event that gives dogs and their owners a chance to see different areas of our communites that we normally don't get to see just driving around.

In hashing, a "hare" will be given a head start and will lay a trail using trail markers.  The hounds will then attempt to follow the trail through to the end.  False trails, dead ends, etc can and will be used to slow the group so the slower members can keep up with the faster ones.  At the end of the trail there will be a chance to socialize with your fellow dog owners.  As the group develops, nicknames and pointless awards will be given out to celebrate.  Have an idea for an award?  Bring a trinket and award it.  Everyone can participate with their own ideas and awards.  On On.
